We created an exact 3D representation of the space so we could make sure all the pieces fitted together correctly before installation. It also gave the client a really clear idea of what the final product would look like.

We designed and built a set of counters for Cape Town Helicopters in the V&A Waterfront. As the premises was open to the public during the day we had to pre build the counters in sections in order to be able to install them quickly after hours. We 3D modelled the entire space to make sure everything was good to go.
The counters needed power points and secure locking sections that would allow staff to quickly close and lock the lids over their laptops when they needed to help customers. We used birch ply and steel piping to create a clean look while being strong and very hard wearing.
We also built an outdoor ‘tout box’ out of sugar gum, a locally sourced hard wood that is very resistant to the elements. It stands out amongst the tout boxes from other operators and provides a unique visual edge for Cape Town Helicopters.
